SPETSNAZ WEAPONS
ASSAULT RIFLES AN-94 Abakan Caliber: 5.45x39mm FMJ or JHP Payload: 30 box mag Rate of Fire: Single, Two Round Burst at 1800 rpm or Full Auto at 600 rpm
The Abakan is a revolutionary new assault rifle design that has been adopted by the Russian Federation Military as its new main battle rifle. It features an ingenious blowback shifted-pulse recoil suppression system that allows the operator to fire his first two rounds before any recoil is felt. This ensures an excellent first shot/hit probability and is designed to save ammunition by eliminating the need for long full automatic bursts to try and hit targets.
AKSU-74 Caliber: 5.45x39mm FMJ or JHP Payload: 30 box mag Rate of Fire: Single or Full Auto at 700 rpm
The AKSU was the inevitable carbine version of the AK-47. Brought into service in 1979, the AKSU has evolved from a hard-to-control and inaccurate weapon intended for vehicle crews to a superior special operations tactical weapon. When the 5.45mm AK-74 came into service, the AKSU-74 was quick to follow. The lighter cartridge and well designed conical muzzle compensator make the AKSU-74 much easier to control than its older 7.62mm counterpart. The weapon is an ideal close quarters weapon, small enough for tight maneuvering yet still packing an assault rifle punch. Though new weapons like the 9A-91 and AK-105 are roaring into the Russian CQB scene, the AKSU-74 is still one of the most widely-used tactical weapons in the Russian Federation.
AS Val Caliber: 9x39mm SP-6 Subsonic Payload: 20 box mag Rate of Fire: Single or Full Auto at 700 rpm
In today's urban battlefield, stealth is a primary concern. The ability to keep your position hidden from the enemy could mean the difference between life and death. The AS Val is the Russian answer to the problem. Combining a full strength 9x39mm assault rifle with an effective sound suppressor, the Val fills the void between stealth and firepower, giving the urban commando a quiet, powerful weapon.
Groza OTs-14-4A-03 Caliber: 9x39mm SP-6 Subsonic Payload: 20 box mag Rate of Fire: Single or Full Auto at 700 rpm
The Groza is available in various configurations to suit many different operational roles. Often times in urban combat environments, soldiers find themselves engaging targets at point blank range one minute and at fairly long range the next. The Groza OTs-14-4A-03 is designed to give operators a weapon which is compact for close range engagements and has a magnified scope for long range shots. A suppressor is also attached to the weapon so that the operator may keep a low profile in a noisy environment.
9A-91 Caliber: 9x39mm SP-6 Subsonic Payload: 20 box mag Rate of Fire: Single or Full Auto at 900 rpm
The 9A-91 small-sized assault rifle is an amazing weapon, delivering full assault rifle power in submachinegun dimensions. The 9A-91 is one of the smallest assault rifles in the world and is used to great effect by all Russian special operations units. Its small size makes it great for maneuvering down tight corridors and its heavy 9x39mm ammuntion can defeat even the heaviest body armour. Because of its extremely short barrel length, the long range accuracy of the 9A-91 leaves something to be desired, but at close quarters, it's a deadly weapon.
SUBMASHINEGUNS
KEDR Caliber: 9x18mm Makarov FMJ or JHP Payload: 30 box mag Rate of Fire: Single or Full Auto at 800 rpm
The KEDR is an extremely compact tactical submachinegun used by almost all police and special operation units in Russia. Its small size and super light weight make it a perfect weapon for the extreme close quarters combat environment. The KEDR fires 800 rounds per minute and is very controllable for sustained fire due to it's light, 9x18mm ammunition. For the fast paced action of room-to-room CQB, the KEDR is unequalled for speed and controllability.
KLIN Caliber: 9x18mm Makarov Improved FMJ or JHP Payload: 30 box mag Rate of Fire: Single or Full Auto at 1100 rpm
The KLIN is the slightly larger brother of the KEDR. Externally, the KLIN looks almost identical to the KEDR, but internally it has been modified to fire the newer, high-impulse Makarov ammunition. The new ammunition boosts the KLIN's rate of fire to a fantastic 1100 rounds per minute! Obviously, this makes controlling the weapon difficult, but for plain old "room broom" saturating fire, the KLIN is unparalleled.
Bizon-2 Suppressed Caliber: 9x18mm Makarov Improved FMJ or JHP Payload: 64 helical mag Rate of Fire: Single or Full Auto at 700 rpm

The Bizon-2 easily accepts a sound suppressor, making it acceptable for missions where stealth is important. Though not a complete silencer, the suppressor does sufficiently decrease the sound signature to the point where it could be easily lost in common background noise.
SHOTGUNS
Saiga 12K Caliber: 12 ga. 00 buckshot 12 ga. slug Payload: 8 box mag
The Saiga series of shotguns is a new addition to the small arms scene in Russia. Originally designed for hunting, the military quickly adapted it to be a tactical shotgun. Looking very much like an AK47 style assault rifle, the Saiga 12K takes little retraining for soldiers used to firing the AK47. Its compact design and eight round detachable magazine make it an excellent weapon for CQB. The Saiga 12K can fire the whole range of 12 guage specialty rounds available to police units worldwide, making it a weapon adaptable to a great number of tactical situations.
KS-23 Caliber: 23mm Shrapnel-10 (14x5mm) Shrapnel-25 (9x8mm) Armor Piercing Slug Payload: 3 tube mag
The KS23 is the full sized version of the KS23M. Fitted with a full length barrel, the KS23 can accurately fire the extraordinarily heavy Barricade round. This gives Spetsnaz units the ability to disable heavy targets at a longer range with out a heavy weapon or sniping rifle.
SNIPING RIFLES
SV-98 Caliber: 7.62x54mm FMJ Payload: 5 box mag
Though the SVD Dragunov has been and still is the primary sniping rifle of the Soviet and Russian Armed Forces, snipers have for many years been calling for a bolt action rifle designed specifically for precision shooting at long range. Recently, IzhMash arms company unveiled the SV-98, a bolt action rifle designed after the sport shooting Record CISM. The SV-98 performs as well as--if not better than--any of the top-of-the-line rifles the rest of the world has to offer.
SVU OC-AS-03 Caliber: 7.62x54mm FMJ Payload: 10 box mag
For years the standard sniping rifle of all Russian military units was the 7.62x54mm SVD Dragunov. When it became apparent that military conflict in the 20th century would be focused in built-up urban areas, full length rifles became a hindrance when maneuvering quietly around in confined spaces. Looking to other sniping and main battle rifles that have been converted to bullpup configuration in western nations, the Russians decided to apply this to the Dragunov. The resulting weapon was a compact design that still performed like the full size Dragunov, but with minimalized dimensions. Due to the bullpup layout, the weapon still retains a 53cm barrel but has an overall length of 90cm. This is an ideal weapon for spetsnaz units operating in urban areas or in situations where a shorter, lighter weapon is required.
VSS Vintorez Caliber: 9x39mm SP-6 Subsonic Payload: 10 box mag
The VSS Vintorez is the sniping model of the AS VAL. First issued in 1987, the Vintorez quickly became a popular rifle with military and law enforcement units alike. Though intended for short to medium range engagements, the Vintorez still exhibits stunning armour piercing abilities, penetrating 8mm steel plate at 100 meters. The VSS Vintorez is a perfect urban warfare rifle; short, light, quiet and deadly.
HANDGUNS
MR-445 Varjag Heavy Pistol Caliber: .40 S&W FMJ or JHP Payload: 15 box mag
Traditionally, Russian Forces have considered pistols useless and preferred the use of full sized rifles and submachine guns. By the end of the century, it became obvious that pistols were an integral part of an combat unit because of their small, easy to operate size and the ease with which they could be concealed for operations where blatant displays of firepower were politically unsavory. To meet the new demand for combat handguns, Baikal Trade Firm developed a series of pistol in various calibers. The MR-445 Varjag is a full sized automatic pistol chambered for the powerful .40 caliber Smith & Wesson round used by many western police forces. It holds 15 rounds and readily accepts tactical flashlights and laser aiming devices.
Gyurza Heavy Pistol Caliber: 9x21mm RG052 Armour Piercing Steel Core Payload: 18 box mag
All too often nowadays, police forces around the world are finding themselves facing criminals wearing personal body armour. Modern ballistic armour easily defeats most common pistol rounds and law enforcement has been scrambling to find new ways to deal with this serious threat. In the early nineties, Kirovsky Zavod Mayak Joint-Stock Company developed a new armour piercing pistol round and an automatic pistol called the Gyurza designed to handle the recoil the heavy new cartridge. The 9x21mm round used in the Gyurza is able to defeat very heavy armour and pentrated two 1.4mm steel plates and 30 layers of Kevlar at one hundred meters in demonstrations. Fully loaded, the Gyurza hold 18 rounds and weighs a hefty one and a half kilograms. It has been eagerly accepted into Russia's law enforcement and special operations community. Admired for it's exceptional armour-defeating capabilities, the Gyurza is standard equipment with almost all Spetsnaz units.
MR-443 Grach Caliber: 9x19mm 7N21 FMJ or JHP Payload: 17 box mag
For years the Russian military has be looking to modernize their standard sidearm. Several Russian weapon firms were in competition to win the army pistol contract and Baikal's MR-443 model won. The MR-443 Grach is a very well designed combat handgun, easily the peer to other leading pistols of the world. It features plastic and metal construction, a seventeen round hi-capacity magazine, and multiple safeties. The Grach is chambered for Russia's improved version of the 9x19mm Luger round. This round, the 7N21, displays improved armour piercing capabilities and is slightly more powerful than the western round.
PSS Silent Pistol Caliber: 7.62x41mm SP-4 Armour Piercing Jacketed Steel Core Payload: 6 box mag
The PSS Silent Self-loading Pistol was created specifically for special operations where regular silenced weapons were not quiet enough. The incrediblely low sound signature of the PSS is achieved first by using an internal automatic bolt mechanism and secondly with it's specialized 7.62x41mm silent SP-4 ammunition. The SP-4 cartridge is designed so that none of the exploding gases actually leave the cartride when it is fired.
UDAR Revolver Caliber: 12.3mm JHP Slug FMJ Armor Piercing Slug Shot Shell 00 Buckshot Payload: 5 cylinder
The UDAR gives Spetsnaz teams shotgun firepower in a sidearm package. The UDAR is a giant 12.3mm large bore revolver that is capable of firing a variety of special cartridges.
